FREE AND ALIVE: Great short

I recently had the good fortune to hear from California filmmaker John Klein, the director of FREE AND ALIVE, a wonderful short film about children learning in nature. Watch Haven, a curious toddler, as she explores the natural world with gentle support, prompts and questions from her dad. You will see how much children can understand through their own explorations! As I discovered, too, when we shot footage of preschoolers in Rock Creek Park for Mother Nature’s Child, a human child is already programmed to explore the natural world and learn through an innate intelligence. This 23 minute film will charm and inspire you to find a toddler to be your guide and head out for a little sojourn in a natural setting —  proceeding at the child’s pace, not yours! A world of wonder will open up for you both.
