This is the kind of collaboration we need in every community! We are delighted to report that, once again, Baltimore’s Docs in the Park initiative will be holding an all day event at Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park on Saturday, March 31st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Docs in the Park is a community-supported health initiative that aims to reconnect children and families to nature and encourage outdoor activity. We are delighted to announce that Antioch University New England will be holding a daylong workshop entitled “Nature Pre-Schools and Forest Kindergartens” from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th. The day will open with a talk by David Sobel, who was featured in Mother Nature’s Child and whose terrific new book Wild Play was published last year. The schedule also includes field trips, sessions with childhood educators, and lunch. The Harris Center for Conservation Education and Sophia’s Hearth Family Center are co-sponsoring the event....
