We’re delighted to see the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire teaming up with the Appalachian Mountain Club, the NH Children in Nature Coalition and UNH Cooperative Extension to offer four free screenings of Mother Nature’s Child. A year ago, the Burlington, VT premiere of Mother Nature’s Child was attended by an audience of more than 200, most of whom stayed for the post-film discussion with a panel moderated by Walter Poleman, lecturer and Associate Director of the Field Naturalist Graduate Program at the University of Vermont. This is the kind of collaboration we need in every community! We are delighted to report that, once again, Baltimore’s Docs in the Park initiative will be holding an all day event at Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park on Saturday, March 31st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Docs in the Park is a community-supported health initiative that aims to reconnect children and families to nature and encourage outdoor activity. Nature Pre-School Workshop!

Nature Pre-School Workshop!...

We are delighted to announce that Antioch University New England will be holding a daylong workshop entitled “Nature Pre-Schools and Forest Kindergartens” from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th. The day will open with a talk by David Sobel, who was featured in Mother Nature’s Child and whose terrific new book Wild Play was published last year. The schedule also includes field trips, sessions with childhood educators, and lunch. The Harris Center for Conservation Education and Sophia’s Hearth Family Center are co-sponsoring the event....
