Ingrid Stressenger, fourth grade teacher at Pond Cove Elementary School in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, will use clips from Mother Nature’s Child in her presentation on April 12th at the National Science Teachers Association Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Ingrid was a finalist for the 2012 Maine Teacher of the Yearand we hope other teachers will be inspired by her use of outdoor time in her curriculum!

The session title for Ingrid’s presentation at the conference is “The Nature Classroom: Your Door To Integrating Science and More”.  Description: Nature provides the perfect venue for integration. Science, art and poetry unite in a rich and engaging single or yearlong unit in any setting.”
